So often we want to improve our lives but struggle to figure out why we want or need the goals that we set for ourselves.
Goals like going back to school, getting a new job, and saving money are all wonderful things to aim for, but when the going gets tough what’s going to keep you on the right track?
What’s your why?
There are some improvements that are objectively good for you but why do you want it for your life?
If you don’t know the reason why you’re doing something, it’s going to be pretty difficult to get through the how.
Walking away doesn’t mean that you’re weak or a failure.
You’ll walk away because you forgot to set yourself up for success before you embarked on this life-changing journey.
When our motivations for self-improvement aren’t specific or strong enough, we quickly lose interest and decide to take a path that is immediately easier but perhaps more harmful in the long run.
Doom scrolling, smoking, or hooking up is so much faster and easier than going to the gym, journaling, or meditating.
Take a moment today to reflect on why you found yourself on a therapy blog. Maybe it’s time to take that next step towards healing by contacting us and setting up your first appointment.
We can’t wait to hear from you!
