Practicing speaking kindly to myself has been one of the best changes that I have made to improve my mental health. It sounds simple, but the practice can be challenging to many of us.
In “Speaking Kindly, Healing Deeply”, I explore some of my favorite positive affirmations. At the end of each short chapter is a journaling prompt to help you explore your own beliefs around speaking positively to yourself, as well as a song to guide your journey though this book.
As much as I write and I post on “Notes on Mental Health”, LinkedIn, and Medium, self-publishing this guide makes me feel very vulnerable and scared.
One of my affirmations that I use daily and that I explore in this guide is “I am brave.” Today, I am practicing being brave by not only publishing “Speaking Kindly, Healing Deeply”, but also letting people know that it exists.
